SupplyEngine Limited is committed to protecting service user privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998) and according to the Which? Web Trader Code of Practice. We collect information about our service users for two reasons: Firstly, to process any orders, support requests or communications from our users and their respective users. Secondly, to provide you with the best possible service.
We only make contact with our service users when it is absolutely necessary, when they have asked us to, or if they have agreed to receive any marketing materials, promotions or similar forms of information. As part of this, as required, we will not email you in the future unless you have given us your consent. The type of information we will collect about you includes: Your Name and Email Address and the orders that you have placed. We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law and the Which? Web Trader Code. We may also use technology to track the patterns of behavior of visitors to our site. This can include using a 'cookie' which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.
Signing In with Facebook
If you, as a SupplyEngine service user, choose to sign in to SupplyEngine using your Facebook account credentials it is necessary for us to place a cookie on your device in order to track the session while you're signed-in. No information is accessed by the SupplyEngine application from the your Facebook account during this process.
Posting to Your Facebook Account
SupplyEngine has the ability to post information from your blog and other channels to your Facebook page. Before being able to use this feature, you are required to 'link' your Facebook account with SupplyEngine. As a part of this process, and to make your user experience as pleasant as possible, SupplyEngine stores a very limited amount of information passed from Facebook when you authorize it. This information is used only to keep the connection with Facebook and SupplyEngine and does not allow SupplyEngine to access your Facebook account, contacts or personal information stored therein. In addition, you will always be prompted by SupplyEngine before posting any information to your Facebook account.
